January News
I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing winter break. I'm not sure I am ready for the cold and snow of an Iowa winter. The end of the quarter/semester is this month. Report cards and ITBS scores will be sent home on Jan. 18. Third graders have been practicing for their music program in March. They are very excited about learning to play the recorder. Please continue to fill out the Hoover Pride cards. The pizza lunch is on Jan. 11. Students must have returned at least 6 cards this quarter to participate in the lunch. We continue to practice the addition, subtraction, and now multiplication facts. Rocket Math papers should be coming home every night so they can be looked over and practiced. Homework packets are due on Thursday. From now on they MUST be returned on Thursday. There will be no grace period. We will begin to write all of our assignments in cursive. Most are looking forward to that. As always, if you have any concerns or questions please email me or call me.
